Last Rites on Saturday for Mrs. Sally Drake

Mrs. Sally Butler Drake, 70, died Friday evening at 10 o'clock at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Paul Smith, 506 West Earl Street.

Funeral services were conducted Saturday at 5:30 p. m. at the Crosier-Pearson chapel with Dr. S. B. Culpepper officiating. Pall bearers were her nephews, W. S. Skiles, J. B. Skiles, D. J. Skiles, R. F. Butler, and Leroy Butler, all of Dallas, and Lt. Col. Homer Wicker, Camp Wolters. Internment was in the Cleburne Cemetery.

Mrs. Drake was born on July 17, 1873 in Dallas County and in 1891, she was married to John G. Drake. After her marriage she lived in Ellis County and came to Johnson County in 1903, where she resided until 1911. At that time the family moved to Lockhart, but she returned in 1929 to Cleburne, where she has made her home since.

She was a member of the Baptist Church.

Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Paul Smith, Cleburne; Mrs. Dwight Epperson, Sylacauga, Ala., and Mrs. L. M. Brewster, Dallas; three sons, Henry B. Drake, Fort Worth; Clint Drake, Kansas City, Kans.; and W. L. Drake, Port Arthur; a foster son, E. W. Gammons, U. S. Army; a brother, W. K. Butler, Dallas and eight grandchildren.
