James McEwing Douglas

Soon after their marriage they moved, along with Martha's parents and her
brothers and sisters to Ouachita Co. Ark. in the area of yet unestablished
Chidester (circa 1865).
1900 census: Lived in Red Hill Twnsp Ouachita Co. Ark with wife and daughter
Emma Douglas Pickett and son-in-law Tildon Pickett.
Military Service: 04/09/1864, while serving as 1st Lt, Co. D, Ark 33rd
Infantry, he was wounded in the ankle in the battle of Mansfield, LA.
